Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s first patch finally fixes a game-breaking bug

Nintendo has recently released the first post-launch patch for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that fixes its most troublesome bug.

The first post-launch patch for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, version 1.1.1, comes with fixes for various issues that appeared after release. This fixed the bug that prevented players from completing the main quest “The Locked Door”.

Unfortunately, the other fixes were not detailed. The patch notes only said that it addressed various other “unspecified issues”. Check out the full patch notes below:

  • Fixed the issue where the player was sometimes unable to complete the main quest “The Closed Door” even if the conditions for quest progress were met.
    • If you have already encountered this problem, you can clear the mission by downloading this update data.
  • Fixed various issues to improve the gaming experience.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is now available exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
