If you want to add Gen 9 Dolphin to your team, you’ll need to head to the ocean when the Pokemon appears on Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s map. However, the quickest way to add the adorable sea creature to your team is to head over to the city of Levincia. finizen spawns early in the game on Eastern Province (Area Three) on the beach south of Levincia. While you’d normally need to unlock the Koraidon or Miraidon’s swimming ability by defeating the Open Sky Titan, you can actually walk to the shoreline and catch the dolphin at level 23. Simply walk across the sand to the shore, then press the ZR button to throw your Poké Ball at any Finizen that swims past. If you don’t see the Pokemon, just leave the beach and head back until it finally appears. Now that the Water-type is on your team, you’ll need to use a special method to activate its hidden evolution into Palafin, detailed below.
