9. Vel 46
The Vel 46 is a good SMG in the game. The Gun itself is useful in close quarters. But if the opponent is even at mid-range, the gun fails to deal high damage to them. The heavily armored operators won’t get hit by its bullets as much as you’d expect them to be. Well, that is understandable as it is an SMG, but even for an SMG, that is a relatively low range.

As the map of Al Mazrah is big, the Vel 46 fails to make a significant impact in the game. It is only great if you are using it as a secondary weapon. Other than that, it’s better to just leave it, than use it or get adjusted to it.
As a secondary It holds is useful. That is due to a lot of factors, mainly its high Fire Rate. Apart from that, it has superb Mobility and Handling, which is perfect if you’re running after your low-health targets or if you are running from them. Its superb recoil control ensures that your aim will stay at the enemy’s head all the time.
Vel 46 Loadout

The Muzzle, XTEN RR-40 is to suppress the bullet’s sound. Not only that, it is great when it comes to increasing the Damage Range, Bullet Velocity, and most importantly, Recoil Control. The VEL A-568 Colasped improved the Aim Down Sight speed and the Sprint speed of the operator. Whereas the 50 Round Mag ensures that your bullets will last long enough to take out a few opponents before reloading.
FFS Sharkfin 90 gives your gun much-needed stability. Whereas the Schlager Soldier Grip gives it the Sprint Fire Speed, and Aim down sight speed, like the Stock of the gun.

8. MX9
One of the good SMGs in the game is MX9. The gun has good damage and fire rate. Not as good as the usual AUG, which it is based on. There is one big reason why it fails in that aspect, and that is the Range of the MX9. It is not designed to take out opponents at a long range. So you’ll have to rely on other weapons to take out the opponents.

But where it excels is its high Recoil Control, Mobility, and Handling. If you’re in a part of the map where there are tons of houses or buildings, it will work best. You’ll have more than enough mobility to chase enemy operators and kill them. But remember, if you go out on a map as big as that of Warzone 2.0, the MX9 will fail.
It works great if it is used as a secondary weapon with a sniper or a marksman rifle. Because, you can use that rifle to take on enemies at a distance, where the MX9 fails. And, if the enemy closes in on you, then you can use the MX9 to take them out, thanks to its superb Fire Rate and Recoil Control.
MX9 Loadout

The main key to the loadout is its 16.5” STB Factory barrel. It increases the range of MX9, making it much more useful for fights. That puts it up to the mark of an Assault Rifle. Whereas the SA Schalldampfer 99 suppresses its bullets sound. With that, the Muzzle is good for increasing the Recoil Control and Bullet Velocity. The magazine we’ve selected for the loadout is 32 Round Mag. it makes sure that you stay in battle for a longer duration.
With all these heavy attachments, it is necessary to add attachments that increase MX9’s mobility. For that, we’ve gone with the FTAC C11 Riser Comb and VLK LZR 7MW laser. They decrease the Aim Down Sight while at the same time increasing the Sprint to Fire Speed of the operator.

7. Minibak
The Minibak is what every player should be using if they plan on fighting heads-on with an enemy squad. The biggest reason for that is its huge magazine that can hold 64 bullets, which is more than enough for a squad. You won’t have to stop to reload for a long time, which will save you from getting ganked on while you’re the most vulnerable.

To be honest, apart from that and a few use cases, the Minibak isn’t that useful. Yes, it has superb Recoil Control, more than any other weapon we’ve just talked about, but it isn’t useful if the damage isn’t higher than the other guns. The gun has a large magazine, but it takes that away due to its relatively lower damage and a much lower range.
It works best with Battle Rifles as they aren’t designed for close-range combat. Or in some cases, Assault Rifles. Using the Minibak will give you a little edge over your opponents as you’ll keep coming at them without waiting to reload. That is thanks to its high Mobility and Handling.

The main purpose of the BAK-9 279MM barrel is to increase the Bullet Velocity and Damage Range of the Minibak. The same is for the FTAC Castle Comp muzzle. It does that all while simultaneously increasing its Recoil Control. As for the Cronen Mini Pro, it provides clear visuals of your opponent and ensures that you’ll be easily able to aim at their head.
Otrezat Stock is great to enhance Minibak’s Aim Down Sight while slightly increasing your Sprint Speed. Whereas the True-Tac Grip decreases the Aim Down Sight speed while increasing the Sprint to Fire Speed.

6. Vaznev 9K
As for the Vaznev 9K, it can be considered the best SMG when it comes to dealing damage in close range. As it is a Modern version of the AK platform, you can expect it to deal the high damage that it has. But, it doesn’t take away the mobility that you’d expect it does with other AK guns. It keeps its high mobility with the superb damage that it has.

It fails in Range like all other SMG available in COD Warzone 2.0 do. Yes, the range is somewhat better than other SMGs, but what use will it be if the enemy operator is more than 50m away? Your bullets will hit like pebbles instead of bullets. Even after all that, it is a powerful SMG. but, it is so low because of its low accuracy and relatively lower handling.
Even then, if you plan on using it, you can use it with guns that have a longer range. That weapon will be used in long-distance skirmishes with opponents and deal with them eventually. And if they’re getting closer to you, in close combat, you can always take out your SMG, Vaznev 9K, and deal with them.
Vaznev 9K loadout

The Muzzle for the loadout, Lockshot KT85, increases its horizontal and vertical recoil control. You can follow the enemy operator wherever they’re running for you, without having to stop firing. Whereas the Ortezat Stock increases the Sprint Speed, allowing you to follow the running operator. As for the Schlager Peq Box IV, it enhances the Aim Down Sight to ensure that you are the first one to fire instead of your opponent.
Cronen Mini Red Dot is great for when you want a clear eye on your opponent as they’re running for cover. You’ll be able to get a clear headshot of them. Whereas the True-Tac Grip increases the Sprint to Fire speed of the Minibak, while slightly reducing the Aim Down Sight duration.

5. PDSW 528
The PDSW 528 is probably one of the safest options with SMGs. It has a large magazine that can hold 50 bullets. The magazine, as we’ve already explained with the Minibak, is perfect to take out multiple enemy operators at once. But still, you need to remember that it isn’t the best SMG in the game.

The Aim Down Sight speed on the gun is quite low. Not only that, it has relatively lower Mobility and Handling compared to other SMGs. But that is not the end of it all. It is a rather weaker SMG on the list. The Gun has lower Damage even for SMGs, and its accuracy of bullets is even lower than that. And the range of the weapon becomes somewhat unusable if the enemy is more than 50m away from you.
With that all being said, it is still a reliable gun up close. The 50 Rounds magazine can do magic if you know how to utilize it. SMGs have a rather lower range, which is understood as they aren’t designed to deal with long-distance enemies. So it’ll be best if you pair it with a long-range weapon, preferably Battle Rifle or Marksman Rifle. As for the complete Loadout, here’s what you should do.
PDSW 528 Loadout
- Barrel: 17” Corvus Prorange
- Muzzle: FTAC Castle Comp

Now the 17” Corvus Prorange is perfect for the PDSW 528. That is because it increases the Damage Range, Bullet Velocity. Not only that, it further increases the Recoil Control of the SMG too. With that, we decided to get the FTAC Castle Comp muzzle as it will significantly reduce the recoil. These both will affect the mobility of the SMG, so we went with the TV Taccomb to enhance the Aim Down Sight and Speed-to-Fire speed
The Stip-40 Grip enhances the recoil control, helping make the SMG much more accurate with its bullets. And the Cronen Mini Pro ensures that you’ll have good aim at your opponent.

4. BAS-P
With one of the highest Fire-Rate in SMGs, the BAS-P is worthy enough to be called the 4th best SMG in the game. But that isn’t the only selling point of the gun, it has higher Damage than other SMGs. But when it comes to loadouts, the gun is designed to be modular. You can add attachments to it that seem fit for you, and if you feel like it, you can completely change the demographics of the weapon too.

With that being said, if you go with the weapon, the BAS-P in itself is a complete package. It has great Recoil Control that will ensure you won’t have to worry much about your aim. The accuracy of the weapon is quite strong too. And when it comes to Aiming down the sight, it has high Handling and Mobility ratings. So all in all, you’re getting everything you need.
But remember, Al Mazrah is not a small map. If you want to survive or take care of enemies of all sorts, you’ll have to be prepared. Since the BAS-P SMG is capable of dealing with close to mid-range opponents in COD Warzone 2.0, then you need to take care of the long-range opponents. For that, a Sniper Rife would be more than useful.
BAS-P Loadout
- Underbarrel: FSS Sharkfin 90
- Barrel: 10.5” Bruen Typhon

First of all, the 10.5” Bruen Typhon is the best Barrel for the gun. It slightly increases the Damage Range by increasing the Bullet Velocity. Not only that it provides Sound Suppression to keep you off the radar. As for the Underbarrel, the FSS Sharkfin 90 gives it the much-needed stability to ensure that your bullets hit opponents at mid-range. Whereas the 50-Round Drum gives the extra bullets so that you can stay in battle for a longer duration.
VLK LZR 7MW increases the Sprint to Fire Speed of the SMG. With that, it improves the Aim Down Sight speed to make you battle-ready whenever required. Lastly, the D37 Grip increases its Recoil Control, making the SMG stable.

3. Fennec 45
The Best SMG in close-range combat has to be Fennec 45. It has the highest Fire Rate of all SMGs. In our tests of the gun, the Run Rate was so high that we ended up finishing our Mag before we knew it. And with further testing in COD Warzone 2.0, we have concluded that it is one of the best SMGs when you want to kill your enemies without ‘playing’ with them.

But that’s all that it is good at. When the gap between you and the enemy operator increases, Fennec 45 becomes somewhat useless. And if you want an SMG that is good with range, the next two are the best option for you. Fennec 45 has relatively lower Recoil Control and a much lower Accuracy. Using it even more than 30m is questionable.
As for its pair, we don’t recommend using a Marksman Rifle or Sniper RIfle with it. These are Long Range weapons. With that combo, you’ll be left out in the Mid-range. That’s why it is better to pair it with Battle Rifles, or at the very least, with Assault Rifles. They will take care of Mid to the Long range, whereas Fennec 45 will deal with Close-range combat.
Fennec 45 Loadout

The XTEN RR-40 increases the range and bullet velocity of Fennec 45. It makes it usable with Snipers or Marksman Rifles. Whereas the ZLR 16.5” Ignition Barrel increases the Hip Fire Accuracy and Recoil control on top of Damage Range and Bullet Velocity. The main purpose of the 1MW Quick Fire Laser is to increase the SMG’s Aim Down Sight. It makes it so that you’re always ready for battle.
The Stock of the loadout, Agile Assault-7 Stock increases your overall speed. Whether it’s Sprint, Aim Walking, Crouch, or even Aim Down Sight Speed. Lastly, the Fennec Mag 45 is there to ensure that you don’t run out of ammo while taking out a bunch of enemy operators.

2. FSS Hurricane
Picking up the best out of our Top 2 Best SMG Rifles with Loadout in Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 is a tough choice. Both of these SMGs are superb on their own. They have everything you’d expect from a solid SMG. The ability to fight at close to Mid-range has a relatively higher Fire Rate. Above average Mobility and Handling, and the most important attribute, Recoil Control. These all combine to make the perfect SMG. Now enough about the Best SMG in COD Warzone 2.0, and more about FSS Hurricane.

The FFS Hurricane, as we’ve already mentioned has everything. It has one of the highest ranges of SMGs in the game. If you put on a few attachments, you won’t even need to use an Assault Rifle. Not only that, its large magazine makes it perfect to push at enemies long enough for them to give up.
If you want to chase the enemy operators to their death, then you should pair it with an Assault Rifle. Or if you want to use it as a Sniper support weapon, then it is great in it too. With it, you can use snipers that are best only against long ranges. These snipers will be more than suitable for FSS Hurricane SMG Loadout in the large map of Call Of Duty Warzone 2.0.
FSS Hurricane Loadout
- Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
- Barrel: FSS Cannonade 16”
- Muzzle: AVR-790 Comp

The Underbarrel for the loadout, the FTAC Ripper 56 stabilizes the SMG and increases its recoil control. You can now use the gun with the hip fire mode with great accuracy. That means you won’t always have to wait to get the gun in ADS mode. As for the FSS Cannonade 16”, it is the longest barrel that you can fit into the FSS Hurricane and we’re going to use it. It greatly increases the range of the gun, while also improving the hip fire accuracy.
AVR-790 Comp is great to control the SMG’s horizontal recoil. And if you add the Assault-60 Stock Factory, it will further improve the already high Recoil Control. As for the Optics, we’ve gone with the Cronen Mini Pro as it is a solid optic for a close-range gun.

1. Lachmann Sub
We’ve already explained that both Lachmann Sub and FSS Hurricane in COD Warzone 2.0 are worthy to be called the Best SMGs in the game. But, if we had to choose one, we’d choose Lachmann Sub without any questions. And there is a reason for it, as you’d expect. The Lachmann Sub is better than the FSS Hurricane in a lot of ways. It has better Mobility, Recoil control, Damage, and Fire Rate.

Yes the FSS Hurricane has better Range and Accuracy than the Lachmann fails to deliver. But it isn’t something a few attachments can’t fix. Now the more attachments you add to a gun, the less mobility it gets. But with the Lachmann Sub, it starts with a higher Mobility and Handling, so even if you add a few extra attachments, you’ll have more of that.
It has similar usage to that of FSS Hurricane. You can use it with almost every other mid-to-long-range gun, and it will work great. Preferably, we’d suggest using it with a Sniper as the Lachmann Sub can hold on its own. You won’t need another mid-to-long-range weapon for yourself if you’re using the Lachmann.
Lachmann Sub Loadout
For the loadout of the Best SMG in Call of Duty Warzone 2.0, we’ll be pairing it with a Sniper Rifle. So, we need to get attachments that will make it the best in Close and short-distance combat. For that, we’ll be using these attachments.
Attachments
The following attachments slightly increase Lachmann Sub’s range. But they take a toll on its mobility and handling, which should be expected.
Muzzle
To begin with, for our Muzzle, we’ve gone with the SA Schalldampfer 99. It is a Sound Suppressor that will come in handy in the big map of Warzone 2.0 where you don’t want unnecessary attention. If you’re taking out an enemy, the last thing you’d want is enemies swarming up on you.
Barrel
In the list of Barrels, we have some good choices for the Luchmann Sub. Even then, we decided to go with the FTAC M-SUB 12”. The main reason we want that is we want to increase the Sub’s Range and Accuracy to fight off enemies at a distance. That way you won’t be relying on your Sniper for everything.
Magazine
As for the Magzine of the Lachmann Sub, we went with the 50-Round Drum. As the damage of the gun is already good, the bullets ensure that you’ll be dealing non-stop damage to the enemy operator. You won’t have to wait to reload for a long while.
Rear Grip
The LM Cronus Grip seems like the perfect rear Grip for the gun. It gives you better control of the gun, and in turn, increases your Recoil control with the gun. You can spray on enemies and your gun will stay in its place.
Underbarrel
And for the Underbarrel, we decided to go with the FSS Sharkfin 90. The Underbarrel increases the gun’s Aiming Stability. It is great for players who don’t stick in one place. Because then, an enemy sniper at distance can take you out in mere seconds.
Secondary Weapon
For the Secondary weapon, we went with the Signal 50. It is the Best Sniper in Warzone 2.0, and we wanted to pair it with the Best SMG. That makes it the perfect combo to have. With the combo, you’ll be the monster in mid-range combat and in long-range combat. If you miss the shot, then the high Fire Rate of the gun will ensure that you can fire another bullet before the enemy can react.
Perks
For the Perks, we went with the Perks that help you get much out of the loadout.
The first and foremost Perk that we went with was the Overkill perk. Without it, your loadout will be incomplete. As Overkill allows you to have two Primary weapons at once. Using it, you’ll be able to use both guns at the same time, giving you a benefit over players that are only running one gun at a time. If you’re using an SMG,
Now as you’re using both ‘primary’ weapons, you need the speed to reposition yourself when the need arises. For that, the best Perk would be Double Time. It increases the Sprint speed and Movement Speed of your operator. So you can quickly move from one spot to another and get better angles to get a headshot of your opponent.
Apart from that, we highly recommend the Spotter Perk with the loadout as it helps you detect opponents quickly in the game. And finally, to help you stay away from the radar, we suggest the Ghost perk. That will complete the Perks of the Best Lachmann Sub SMG loadout.
Equipment
Equipment for the Loadout is designed to ensure that you can keep on sniping without any hindrance. They will help you fight your opponents without you getting killed out of the blue.
The Tactical equipment best for the loadout would be Stun Grenade. If you’re fighting with opponents in close combat and you need to get an upper edge, then there is no item better than the Stun Grenade. It will make them vulnerable for a limited time and help you take them out.
In the Lethal, you need to have the equipment that will cover your six as you’re sniping onto opponents. You don’t want enemy operators to jump on you and kill you in seconds. For that, we suggest going with the Claymore or the Proximity Mine. They will cover you while you’re aiming for the opponent’s head. And if the enemy comes up to you, the Lethal will trigger and take out the opponent.
SMGs In Warzone 2.0
Now you must know that all of these are good SMGs. And even if they have a few drawbacks, that’s not something a few attachments can’t fix. But when want to choose the best SMG, we look for a few things mainly. The gun should be able to hold out on its own. Meaning that you don’t have to keep switching weapons just to take out enemies. Well, if they get farther away from you, that’s understandable.
The SMG should be able to take out opponents in close-to-mid-range combat. For that, it’ll require good Range and Damage. The accuracy of the weapon is important as you want all of your bullets to hit the opponent. Mobility and Handling are always good with an SMG, and that’s something you can expect your attachments to fix.
As for its class Setup, that can be fixed, whatever the situation is. You can use different perks to ensure that you can pick up two primary weapons at once.
Final Thoughts
As we’ve already explained what we look for in an SMG, so there’s no point in repeating that here. Now the Lachmann Sub is a powerful SMG that you should consider if you want to have the best SMG in COD Warzone 2.0. But that doesn’t mean that you should completely overlook other SMGs.
The FSS Hurricane is great as you can use it as a Sniper Support weapon. It can hold out on its own and ensures that you will be able to deal with a threat if it comes too close to you. The 3rd Best SMG in Call of Duty’s latest installment is Fennec 45. Its high Fire Rate will take out enemies before they can fire their bullets. So you should have it if you plan on playing in urbanized areas of the map.
