Story Highlights

  • Month in and month out, Ubisoft is always looking to introduce sale after sale on its official storefront, although mostly for PC players. Not long ago, it was running another promotion called Additional Content sale for DLCs and add-ons specifically.
  • Now, however, the industry giant is upping the ante with the Gamescom sale. This is in light of the recent Gamescom event that was scheduled to take place between 23 and 27 August, bringing more innovation to the forefront of the gaming domain and offering a platform for developers to showcase what’s about to come.
  • Ubisoft’s Gamescom sale covers top-tier PC games, such as Far Cry 6, Tom Clancy’s The Divison 2, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, and even For Honor. The sale will run until September 5.

Ubisoft is coming hard and fast with yet another remarkable promotional sale on its official storefront, this time called the Gamescom sale. The occasion marks first-party Ubisoft titles getting as much discounted as 75%, leading many to enjoy terrific value propositions for games such as Far Cry 6 Gold Edition, which can be bought for $25 as opposed to its $99 MSRP, and Anno 1800, which has been priced $54 as of now.

You have until September 5 at 1 pm UTC to avail of these discounts, because, by that time, Ubisoft will likely come out with yet another storefront discount that may or may not include the titles that are currently on sale. The deals are fairly admirable, considering how they cover the specced-out editions of their respective games and not just the base titles.

This goes for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint whose Ultimate Edition encompassing the Infiltration Pack, Year 1 Pass, and Ultimate Pack has been discounted to $24. On a normal day, the same game will cost you well over $100. A similar scenario is showing relevancy with For Honor. The melee action game’s Complete Edition is up for grabs for as low as $20, and if not for the promotion, this would’ve cost $100.

And not just those, but a whole bunch of older titles have gone on sale as well, including the likes of Assassin’s Creed Unity, Monopoly Plus, Uno, Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry 5, and Rainbow Six Extraction. If you’ve been eyeing one of the latest Assassin’s Creed games, though, which is Valhalla, it might delight you to discover that its Ragnarok Edition is available for $30 right now too.

All in all, the time is nigh for you to treat yourself to a nice haul of these fantastic Ubisoft games if you were trying to look for discounted deals already. It’s worth noting though that the platform for which the prices of all these titles have been slashed off is PC, and not consoles, such as PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S.

In other news, however, it’s been confirmed earlier that Microsoft will give Activision-Blizzard cloud streaming rights to Ubisoft once the sub $70 billion deal goes through. Ubisoft has taken to Twitter to make the ground announcement, confirming that its Ubisoft+ subscription catalog, which costs about $15 a month, is about to grow a whole lot larger.

As for what Ubisoft is currently working on as a developer, it recently announced Star Wars Outlaws at the Xbox Games Showcase and Starfield Direct Double Feature. This title could be the company’s chance at redemption as far as its choice of open-world design is concerned after many have complained about the route it’s taken with the Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry franchises.

Moreover, it was reported earlier that Star Wars Outlaws will feature seamless ground-to-space transitions, unlike Starfield. In addition, a recent interview with the game’s director has the title being referred to as a “dream playground” for writers. This is in light of the flexible direction options and the allowance of the protagonist to go down multiple roads thanks to Outlaws’ chaotic background setting.
