It was recently revealed that the upcoming The Division movie is now on hold due to a certain global situation.
Talking to the media. Discussion film, producer Kelly McCormick revealed that the upcoming film adaptation of The Division is now on “pause.” This is bad news for fans of The Division games as they will not be able to see the movie adaptation of their favorite game.
When asked the reason for the halt in production, McCormick explained that the pause was due to the global pandemic. When they shot the film, it felt like they were making a documentary.
“You know, in the sense that the story deals with the outbreak that happens in real time, the dangers that arise, and the anxiety that it creates,” McCormick revealed. “It was like, “Oh, it’s not fun anymore.” Like, we’ve literally all been through that in real life. I think we can love it again.
Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain were cast in this new film adaptation.
No word yet on when production will resume but for now, The Division film.
