Blizzard president Mike Ybarra recently revealed that there have been changes to the team behind the development of the untitled survival game.
Ybarra recently posted his Update at the end of the year Sharing all of the company’s “big” successes and developments in the past year. He revealed some interesting tidbits in the blog post, such as changes to the team currently working on the untitled survival game. “It has already doubled in size which means it is already in good hands with a great force behind it,” he said.
The upcoming survival game is being helmed by Dean, the guy who was previously the executive producer on Ubisoft’s Far Cry series. According to a job posting earlier this year, it will be available on PC and is “a place where people have yet to meet, stories yet to be told, and adventures yet to be had.”
Another note Ybarra mentioned was the return of BlizzCon. There were some “problems” in previous years, which caused Blizzard to shelve their plans for a comeback, but it looks like they’re pushing for a comeback soon. He did not share any details about his return, but said a new announcement would be made early next year to discuss the details. There is also a new executive producer for the event, April McKee.
The untitled survival game is still in development.
