Starship Troopers: Extermination Best Class

The first question you will ask yourself when you enter Starship Troopers: Extermination is which class is best to use. You have three classes to choose from, and each one revolves around playing a certain role that benefits your squad of 16 players. Some classes are better suited to thriving against bugs, so we wonder which class in Starship Troopers: Extermination is the best overall.

Bastion is the best class in Starship Troopers: Extermination

The best class in Starship Troopers: Extermination is Bastion. This is heavy infantry that moves slowly compared to the Hunter and Support, but they more than make up for it in armor and raw firepower. There is no other class that can stand their ground and take out the hordes of alien insects that come their way.

Bastion Class Default Equipment Overview

Bastion’s special ability called “Siege Mode” allows players to put down roots into the ground, allowing them to rack up much more damage. Also, your shots are more stable and you can reliably stop time for your teammates, giving them a fighting chance even when surrounded by Tiger Bugs. A big part of Starship Troopers: Extermination is basic defense, and there is no better unit that can protect the ARC core than Bastion.

Starship Troopers: Extermination – All Classes Ranked from Best to Worst

Here are the three playable classes in Starship Troopers: Extermination, ranked from strongest to weakest:

1. Bastion

As we said, the Bastion is the best class in Starship Troopers: Extermination due to its great durability. This class’s special ability allows you to mount and defend an area, which you’ll be doing a lot in this game. With access to perks that make them hard to kill and plenty of machine guns, expect a good Bastion player to thin out the hordes.

2. Hunter

The Hunter class can fly high and avoid danger when it approaches. In terms of the fastest movement, no one can come close to this class, but it doesn’t have the durability. The good thing is that you can get to places that no other class can with the Hunter, which is great for defending the base and when you’re overrun. Her access to a lot of firepower makes this a good class for aggressive players to pick.

3. Operator

The Operator class is a crucial team member with the ability to instantly revive; however, they are so squishy that it doesn’t take much until they melt easily, even on normal difficulties. They make up for this by having a useful drone that allows them to heal themselves and the ability to carry various utilities that provide all sorts of support for their team, but not enough armor to really stand a fighting chance against the bugs.

This class also has an advantage that is a bit situational: it can carry additional vessels, which allow you to power up the base. However, this perk becomes useless once you’re done with that objective.

That’s our take on the best class in Starship Troopers: Extermination. Check out our other Starship Troopers: Extermination content for more information.
