Where we last left off, we’ve gone through the Realms and acquired all the upgrades we need to access the Tower in each of the realms. The road to updates was not easy, but we have only just begun.

In this fifth step by step guide, we will tell you what you need to do to Awaken the Needle in St. Andrew. This is one of the most fun puzzle missions in the game. This is all thanks to an amazing harvesting robot.

Saint Andrew Part 2

Now we are going to do what we proposed at the beginning: Awaken the Embrace by activating the Needles in each of the three Realms. Since we’re already in St. Andrew, let’s start there.

Return to the Omniwheel and set the destination to eh Reservoir.

Go down the front stairs and look for an elevator. Take it to the edge of the reservoir.

There is four irrigation tower valves near the entrance to St. Andrew Spire. (No need to run around the edge of the reservoir.) They feed the four water towers located in different parts of the land below. Open all four valves and now you will have to figure out how to open the ends of the valves.

Go back down the elevator and immediately head left to find a giant robot spider.

Say hello to the Camelus. The game describes it as a watering and harvesting robot.

To power up the Camelus, you’ll need to concatenate your Attachment from the power tower to the walking machine itself.

Now that the machine is on, use the console at the end of the walkway to summon the Camelus. Open the hatch using the plug on the back and then climb inside.

The Camelus control center has two sockets inside. The socket at the front has two modes: drive and turn. The socket on the back allows the walker to be raised and lowered. Drive a bit until you get used to the controls.

There are pipes scattered around the area. You are going to go to each one of them and open the valves with the intention of releasing the water contained within the tank. You can use the map (as shown in the image above) as a rough guide of where to go.

Follow the plumbing and use the diagram on the bottom right to get the approximate location of the plugs. You can’t actually get through the front glass of the Camelus. For two of the valve plugs you will need to use the hole you see on the bottom of the walker. The other two plugs will require you to dock the Camelus and search around the area. It’s worth noting that the Camelus will automatically dock when near a docking area.

Now we are ready to open the valves.

orange pipe opening

The orange pipe is probably the easiest to do. You can start with this one before going after the more difficult ones. Simply align the walker so that the back is flush with the top of the orange tube.

To help you align the Camelus, there is the diagram on the bottom right which will show an “X” and a closed pipe symbol. Line up both symbols to get as close to the target as possible. You can also cast the Adjunct from the back of the walker while on the back to allow you to “watch” the top of the pipe.

Opening the red pipe

The red pipe valve plug sits inside a tube. Fortunately, the tube itself is hard to miss. First you will have to lower the tube.

Pack the harvester next to the pipeline. Just close enough that your Attachment can reach the Plug on the side of the riser. (It would really help if you could get an image of the Socket first.)

Once the pipe has been lowered, you can align the harvester in the same way as you did with the orange pipe.

Green Pipe Opening

Next, we will go for the Green Pipe. This pipe is one of the two remaining pipes where you need to land to open. It is visible inside the Camelus. It is located on the blind side of the pipe facing the cliff face.

The picture above is where you need to go to get to the Green Pipe Socket. It is located between the green pipe and the reservoir. The beauty of this is that you don’t even need to adjust anything yourself. Just walk up to the cliff face, the Camelus will take over the controls and dock for you. (What a useful helper).

Once you’re out of the Camelus, follow the stairs and you should find a bunker at the top of the ridge. Use your Attachment to climb up the bunker entrance. Enter the bunker and go down again so that another door appears on the side.

Open the heavy door and walk to the end of the walkway to find the green piper plug. Open the pipe and then head back to the Camelus.

yellow pipe opening

The yellow tube is probably the one that gave you a hard time. It certainly stumped us for a moment or two.

Essentially, the Camelus will dock at the maintenance facility. The Yellow Pipe is located in a place that is covered by a folded bridge. You need to find a way to raise the bridge and expose the Socket behind it.

This begins by going to the middle floor and interacting with the bridge plug there. This will cause the bridge to rise. Excellent. Now you won’t be able to go back the way you came because that command doubled the bridge on the top floor.

Don’t worry though. Here is the solution.

Go to the lowest floor and find the hole to interact with the Camelus. Remember, the plug in the back controls the height of the machine. Lower the Camelus until it is roughly in line with the bridge on the middle floor.

From there, you’ll want to walk back to the Camelus. Once inside, lower the profile to its lowest point and exit the machine again at the top. You can now easily interact with the plug in the yellow pipe. Activate it to open the last of the pipes.

Now that all four valves have been opened, head back to the depot and dock in the same spot you initially started from. When you return to the top of the reservoir, you will find that the waters inside have subsided, allowing you to go down the stairs and into the Spire.

Take the elevator to the top of the Spire. Please note that the elevator stops in the middle of the ascent. Interact with the Zócalo again to make it go up to the top.

At last, you have now begun to Awaken the Embrace by involving it in this realm. Success!

That’s the first one to drop. Now, let’s see if you can repeat the process two more times.

Go back down the elevator and exit the way you came. Go through the warehouse until you find the transport capsule. It’s time to leave this place and return to the Swan.

Please note that we will not be covering the Swan in this walkthrough guide. The Swan is a hub world, and while the Mentor has a few comments here and there, it isn’t a place of importance until late game.

And that’s the end of the fifth part of our tour of the Firmament. We hope you find this information useful in some way.
