Within the streets of Blum City there is a boy who goes by the name of Gary the Poisoner who seems to be busy peeping through the window. As you talk to him, you’ll learn that, as his name suggests, he’s planning to poison the city’s water and believes that he’s the greatest. Doing it for good.
By talking to him again he will tell you to go to the sewer entrance inside the city. He even gives you the code “72994” to get into the sewers. But where is the sewer entrance?
Where to find a sewer entrance?
As much as we wanted this to be a really fun side quest, it turns out that Gary the Poisoner is just sending players on a wild goose chase. He only contrived to get us off his back so he could sneak back through the windows of the house. You can tell how to hold back your laughter as you go into detail about this “8 hours of content.” After a while when you try to visit him again, he will tell you that he has finished his plan to poison the city’s water.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the devs would pull this kind of thing off since the game is inundated with fourth-wall-breaking humor and meta-commentary about the game and even the players. But with how the mystery ended and the number of players trying out the game, it’s not far-fetched to see this “side quest” become a real thing in DLC or even the hinted sequel. See what happened.
Heck, we even ran the code through the decoder to check for any easter eggs, but nothing noteworthy happened.
