Remnant 2 has outdone all the anticipations of the community and developers. Gearbox Publishing and developer Gunfire Games recently came forward to announce that the sequel to Remnant: From the Ashes has evidently sold over a million copies in just four days after release. The launch week for the new indie entry has proven to be fruitful on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PC.

The third-person shooter saw a successful launch on July 25 and now stands among one of this year’s best-selling entries in its initial launch week alone. It is a massive milestone for an indie studio, with the new sequel proving to be better in every facet than the original predecessor.

The disparity between Remnant 2 and the first entry is huge in every positive way. For instance, the first game sold a million copies over two months after its launch. It has only taken four days for the sequel to catch up, which can be explained by the myriad of new features and improvements. The hardcore Souls-like experience is chock-full of content and features secrets within secrets within secrets.

Remnant 2 climbed to the best-sellers list of Steam and Epic Games even before releasing. Additionally, its concurrent player count more than doubled than the first entry in the series after it came out. It did not take long for the game to boast over 100,000 players simultaneously delving into the dynamically-generated world of the popular third-person shooter.

Despite the enormous sales figure, the entry is plagued with a few bugs and glitches, alongside optimization issues that highly hinder the user experience. Remnant 2 was designed with upscaling in mind. So best performance is not achievable without them. The patch notes containing a bundle of fixes are seemingly on the way to making killing horrid creatures a smooth-sailing experience.
