Prototype in the Scraper Cyberpunk 2077 tutorial

In Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty, Prototype in the Scraper Gig tasks you with recovering a prototype implant and its schematics from a scav base for Mr. Hands. But things are not as simple as they seem. This concert has multiple different endings depending on your choices.

In this guide, I’ll teach you how to complete the prototype in Scraper Gig in the best way possible, including the crucial decision involving Hasan.

Prototype in Scraper tutorial

The prototype in Scraper Gig is unlocked. after completing the initial mission called “Spider and the fly” for the Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty DLC. This concert can be started by heading to the green concert icon at the construction site near Longshore Stacks.

Once you are at the Gig location, you will receive a call from Mr. Hands. He will tell you the details of the prototype you are looking for. The problem is that the construction site has many cars protecting it. They even have some turrets mounted, a frontal assault would be difficult.

Once inside the scav lair, you will encounter several enemies. It is possible to sneak your way through. If you have 9 Tech Stat, you can open a door just at the end of the ramp on the right, allowing you to avoid some initial enemies. If not, you will have to face the enemies head-on.

Continue fighting or sneaking to the back right corner of the lair, where you’ll discover a small walkway under concrete with double doors to the right. Enter these doors to face more scav enemies.

Locate the elevator on the right side of the room and take it to the 24th floor, which leads to the headquarters. Expect to encounter more enemies just outside the elevator doors once you reach your destination. It’s an unfinished construction site, so there’s plenty of cover and platform to keep moving. Eliminate them and then continue on your way.

Descend to the lower level from the elevator and head towards the back of the base, where you will find an opening in the wall leading outside. Just before the hole in the wall, there is a staircase to the right that takes you back to the second level. Go up the stairs and into the next room. At the end of the hallway, you’ll find a set of double doors that lead to an operating room with a corpse.

At the back of that room, there is a staircase that leads to the floor below where you will find someone imprisoned.

The prisoner introduces himself as Hassan Demir, Zetatech engineer. The prototype they send you to recover is in his head and he is using it as a bargaining chip to get it out of the cell so he can show you where the schematics are. You can find the code to your prison cell on the computer terminal upstairs under Codes and Passwords. The code to open the cell is 2753.

Free Hasan by entering the code on the keypad to the right of the cell. After freeing him, follow Hasan through the scav base, and he will eventually provide you with the schematics and ask you to lower the drawbridge, ensuring a safe escape without raising suspicion. The switch to lower the drawbridge is right outside.

After successfully lowering the drawbridge, follow Hassan to the other side, where you will have a brief conversation. He will then disable the drawbridge to make sure you are not followed.

After crossing the drawbridge, you will be able to engage in another dialogue with Hasan. Here he will reveal his intentions to flee with the implant. Hasan stole the prototype and planned to sell it so he couldn’t return to Zetatech or he would be dead.

This is where you will have to make an important decision about the prototype and Hasan’s fate. You can hand him over to his employer or ask Mr. Hands to help him hide.

Should you let Hasan go?

Depending on your dialog options, the results will be different in each of the following options:

Help Hasan but grab the implant.

Choosing to help Hasan but grabbing the implant is the best option.. By choosing this option, you will unlock the side job. “Go your own way” that can reward you with Iconic Gun: Ambition. It is a powerful pistol that has a +150% headshot damage multiplier with +25% armor penetration and can be charged to deliver a more powerful shot.

*It is important to note that you cannot unlock the Go your own way secondary work if you capture it or just let it go without grabbing the implant.

Don’t let Hasan go when he asks you to. Instead, take a seat and call the repairman for him. Ask Mr. Hands to let Hassan go but take the implants. These are the dialog options to achieve this result:

  • The prototype is my responsibility now.
  • Calling the repairman. No quick movements.
  • Take the implant, but let Hasan go.

This is the best outcome for Hasan to survive, Zetatech to get his prototype, and everyone to be happy. A few hours later, Hasan will contact you and request a meeting to thank you. Visit him at his house and he will give you the Iconic Pistol: Ambition.

Leave Hasan

The moment you cross the drawbridge, Hasan will ask you to leave. He will tell you that he will make sure his superiors know that you did a good job. This is what you can answer:

  • Good. Take care of yourself out there.

Hasan is unlikely to return to Zetatech as he is a wanted man. However, you will be able to hand the schematics to the mercenary and the gig concludes.

Let Hasan go

This is another variation of the choice to abandon Hasan. V will know the truth about Hasan stealing the prototype, but the result is the same. Here are the dialog options for this result:

  • The prototype is my responsibility now.
  • We never met, understood?

You will deliver the schematics to the mercenary. However, Hands notes that Zetatech is not happy with its missing cyberware prototype. Who cares what the body thinks?

Capture Hasan

Call the repairman and send him the coordinates. This will capture Hasan and you will have to hand him over to the mercenary. These are the dialogue options you must choose:

  • The prototype is my responsibility now.
  • Calling the repairman. No quick movements.
  • Ok, sending the coordinates.

You will have to meet with Mr. Hand’s mercenary to hand him the schematics or with Hasan if you decide to hand him over. Whatever you choose here, the prototype in the Scraper Gig is ready.

Prototype in Scraper Rewards: 8,000 whirlpools, 1,355 XP

You will hand over both Hasan and the schematics to Mr. Hand’s mercenary. The job is done and everyone is happy except the thief. As for what’s going on with Hasan? Maybe it’s better that we don’t know.
