Blue Stake Locations in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
The Fire Plague Shrine stakes have a dreary blue glow, and after pulling all eight, you can catch Chi-Yu in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Stakes can be found throughout the Eastern and Northern Provinces, with some found on Glazed Mountain and within the Tagtree Thicket.
While you need to defeat the Open Sky Titan and the False Dragon Titan to swim and climb to reach all objectives, we recommend unlocking all of the Koraidon/Miraidon travel abilities. This is because it will make traveling around Paldea easier in general.
If you want to learn about the myth surrounding ruinous Pokémon and place the locations of the shrines on your overworld map, complete the history lessons at the Academy and follow the story of Raifort. Doing this, however, is No a requirement to roll bets.
Below you will find the eight blue stake locations in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet:
Blue Stake Location 1
For the first bet, fly to the Levincia Pokémon Center (North) or, if it’s unlocked, the Levincia Lighthouse. Then head up the hill directly west of the nearby lighthouse to find the stake.
Blue Stake 2 Location
A stake can be found in the northern section of the Tagtree Thicket.
The easiest way to find it is to fly to the Eastern Province Pokemon Center (Area Three) and head into the thickets. Now, past the Team Star Poison crew base and across the river, continue north until you’ve passed a pond. This will take you to a cliff face, which you need to climb to find the stake next to a tree at the top.
Blue Stake 3 Location
For this stake, we recommend flying to the Glazed Gym, before heading south, where the Team Star Poison crew base can be seen from Glazed Mountain. Once there, you will be able to see a small patch of grass with a tree on the side of the mountain.
Now all you have to do is slide or drop down to this spot to find the stake.
Blue Stake 4 Location
A beach stake can be found in the northeast corner of Glazed Mountain. The easiest way to get there is to fly to the Glazed Gym and travel north until you reach this small area where you’ll quickly spot the stake.
Blue Stake 5 Location
This stake is located at the top of the hill directly north of the Northern Province Pokemon Center (Area One) – all you need to do is walk up the hill to find it.
Blue Stake 6 Location
For this bet, fly to the Northern Province Pokemon Center (Area Two) and head up the hill directly east of the building. Here you will find the stake next to a tree.
Blue Stake 7 Location
This stake can be easily found after you’ve collected either Stake 6 or Stake 8. To find it, you’ll want to go up the hill on the right hand side of Fury Falls and then follow the path until you come to a pond.
Once there, go up the hill on the east side (you’ll want to avoid going into the Team Star Fighting Crew base) and follow the path east until you come to a ruined building.
The stake can be found standing inside this ruin.
Blue Stake Location 8
This stake can be found on top of Fury Falls and directly above the Firescourge Shrine. All you need to do is continue climbing the mountain until you find it.
Once you’ve pulled out the final stake, a roar will come from the shrine. However, before fighting Chi-Yu, we recommend purchasing some Ultra Balls and healing items, such as Max Potions.
Our Pokemon Scarlet and Violet walkthrough can walk you through the entire game, including First Day of School, Victory Road, Starfall Street, and Path of Legends. Elsewhere we can help with Normal Gym quiz secret items menu, version differences, best Scarlet and Violet launcher, learn to fly, swim, climb and run, shoot stone locations, how to rename Pokemon. Plaguefire Sanctuary Location in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
The Firescourge Shrine is located in the Northern Province (Area Two) and is located inside a cave on top of Fury Falls, which is southeast of this area’s Pokemon Center.
If you have completed the history lessons at the Academy and have followed the story of Raifort, the shrines will be placed on your overworld map. This will allow you to quickly travel to their locations.
If you’d rather get to the sanctuary in Pokemon, fly to the Northern Province (Area Two) or, if you’ve unlocked it, Fury Falls. Once you’re at Fury Falls, head up the mountain the waterfall gushes out of until you reach a small pool near its peak.
Here you will find a small tunnel that will take you to the cave that contains the sanctuary. Be careful though, as this small cave is teeming with wild Pokémon and you may be forced to engage in a series of battles as they crowd around you.
How to catch Chi-Yu in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Chi-Yu is a Dark and Fire type Pokémon at level 60.
this means that it is weak to Fighting, Ground, Rock and Water types Pokemon. Meanwhile, psychic-type attacks will have no effect on Chi-Yu.
We recommend stocking up on Ultra Balls and healing items, like Max Potion, before trying to catch Chi-Yu.
It’s a good idea to start the battle with a Pokemon that has an advantage and is on a similar level to Chi-Yu as your main Pokemon. This will help you take down his health without having to worry about knocking him out.
you can also use Dark, Fire, Ghost, Grass, Ice, and Steel-type attacks, which are not as effective against Chi-Yu, to slowly break down his health. Biting, for example, is a good move to use, because it can make Chi-Yu flinch, and by doing so, prevent her from attacking. Keep in mind, however, that Grass, Ice, and Steel-types will be especially weak to one of Chi-Yu’s moves.
Paralyzing or putting Chi-Yu to sleep will also help you catch this Pokemon, as both status effects will help prevent Chi-Yu from attacking. Just avoid poisoning Chi-Yu!
We quickly trap Chi-Yu in an Ultra Ball, but, if your battle takes a considerable amount of turns, you might want to try using a Timer Ball. This Poké Ball will become more effective with each turn your game takes.
Chi-Yu has the ability Beads of Ruin, which lowers the Special Defense stat of all Pokémon except itself.
Chi-Yu will have the following move set when caught:
|lava plume||Fire||Special||The user sets everything around them on fire in an inferno of scarlet flames. This can also leave those it hits with a burn.||80||100||fifteen|
|Ruin||Dark||Special||The user summons a ruinous disaster. This reduces the target’s HP by half.||N/A||90||10|
|Boat||Flying||Physical||The user bounces high on the first turn, then lands on the target on the next turn. This can also leave the target paralyzed.||85||85||5|
|Strut||Normal||Condition||The user appears and confuses the target. However, this also greatly increases the attack stat of the target.||N/A||85||fifteen|
After catching Chi-Yu, you might want to add Chien-Pao, Wo-Chien, or Ting-Lu to your Pokédex?
If you’ve taken the history lessons at the Academy to learn more about the backstory of these Pokemon, be sure to head back to Raifort after catching all four Pokemon for an extra reward.
Good luck catching Chi-Yu!
