It has been officially confirmed that Sony Interactive Entertainment will be removing the PlayStation Plus Collection promotion later this year.
PlayStation Plus Collection Promotion Ends Soon
According to the last post On the PlayStation Blog revealing the newest PS Plus lineup for February 2023, SIE provided an update on the upcoming status of the PlayStation Plus Collection. This was a great deal for PS Plus members who could afford the PS5 in 2020, as they’d be claiming several free titles from the PS4 game library and making them playable on their new PS5 console. It was one of the reasons many PS5 owners opted to sign up for PS Plus right away so they could get free games.
Offers end after May 9
On May 9, 2023, the PS Plus Collection will no longer be offered to players. This does not mean that the free games offered will not be available for access as the promotion no longer exists. As long as you are a PS Plus subscriber, you can still get access to these games indefinitely if you have redeemed them before the deadline. After that date, there will be no more possibility to redeem them.
It looks like SIE will now bolster its PS Plus game catalog and monthly games instead of relying on early promotion. Its charm has already faded, so it would be better to close it and move on with the new ones.
For those interested in redeeming the games, here is the list:
- God of War
- The Last of Us: Remastered
- Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
- battlefield 1
- monster hunter world
- consequences 4
- final fantasy xv
- the last guardian
- Ratchet and Clank
- infamous second son
- past days
- blood borne
- Detroit: Become Human
- batman arkham knight
- mortal kombat x
- person 5
- Until sunrise
- Resident Evil: Biohazard
