Santa Monica Studio has officially confirmed the God of War Ragnarök new game plus mode.

Many fans have been waiting for this news since the original game also featured this mode. It took some time to implement, but it improved the game’s replayability when it was released. Now, this game mode is coming to the sequel with a lot more content to deal with, and maybe they can finally play the game on higher difficulties.
All official, all genuine
God of War Ragnarök new game plus mode is finally coming and will be released sometime in Spring 2023, Santa Monica Studio announced. Although the studio cannot share details about this new mode, it can be assumed that it will have the same features as God of War 2018. Expect the new Game Plus to let players carry earned items and abilities.
Possible similarities with 2018
In God of War 2018, the New Game Plus mod adds new armor sets for Kratos and Atreus and the ability to turn talismans into magic. Valkyries’ attack patterns also changed and had timed realm tears. God of War Ragnarök may feature similar features with the addition of a new armor set for Freya, Berserkers instead of Valkyries, and possibly Timed Realm Tears as well.
