Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios have recently announced that the new Mortal Kombat game will be officially revealed soon.
“Tomorrow is a new dawn,” said the official Mortal Kombat Twitter account at its most recent post. It is accompanied by a short clip that is the same as the one shown in the previous video, but now the watch has been broken.
At the end of the clip, a message reads: “It’s time. May 18 at 6 am (Pacific Time).
The reveal will most likely be in the form of a trailer with a sneak peek of some characters fighting, just like when MK 11 was revealed. It could be different, depending on its co-creator, Ed Boon.
Recently Ed Boon and the Mortal Kombat Twitter accounts have been teasing his upcoming new title with the former denying that it would be related to Mortal Kombat. The clips they share betray them, as he clearly hints that he is related to the popular franchise. Plus, Warner Bros. has already let it slip that the sequel is coming this year.
See you tomorrow, fighters!
