New Diablo IV details offer a big advantage on Xbox consoles

Blizzard Entertainment and Diablo producer Rod Fergusson have confirmed some new details about Diablo IV running on Xbox consoles.

Fergusson confirmed that Diablo IV could play at 60fps on both Xbox Series X and S. Xbox Series X will have it in 4K resolution, while Series S will be in 1080p. Other than that, it was also revealed that the game will not have any loading screens in its open world sections, but there is one exception. If a player enters a different large area, like a dungeon, they will have a short loading screen.

While Fergusson didn’t confirm that PlayStation consoles will get the same treatment, he’s more or less confirmed for the PS5. Unfortunately, the PS4 will take a downgrade if we’re going to follow the logic here. After several server changes and fan feedback after the beta test, these are now the results.

Diablo IV launches on June 6, 2023 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
