The Mortal Kombat 1 Switch trailer was just pulled from YouTube after a strange “pop-up” appeared.
This out-of-place popup that appears in the middle of the launch trailer is an achievement for Steam. The video is of the controversial Nintendo Switch version of Mortal Kombat 1, which is being trolled online for its horrible graphics and $70 price tag.
This discovery has added fuel to the fire of criticism, which is currently burning more and more. Players discovered that instead of a Nintendo Switch version of the game, it was the PC game that appeared in the launch trailer, hence the Steam achievement.
The launch trailer was removed from Nintendo of America’s YouTube channel, but the moment in question was preserved in a screenshot and shared online. The image revealed that the Steam achievement appeared at the 1:53 mark.
Yesterday, co-founder Ed Boon promised that these problems in the Switch version will be fixed soon. There’s no word yet on when that will happen, but with NetherRealm’s reputation, it could be soon.
Mortal Kombat 1 is now available for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
