In gaming history, there aren’t many video games that have had the impact Minecraft has had on popular culture. Since its release in 2011, the sandbox title has sold over 200 million copies around the world, becoming one of the best-selling games in history. Over a decade later, this success hasn’t stopped and the Mojang title continues to dominate, amassing over 140 million monthly users as recently as 2021.
In addition, Minecraft’s real-time action-strategy spin-off Minecraft Legends has already obtained over 3 million players across all platforms. The game hit this number only two weeks after release despite average reviews from critics and fans. Since the game’s launch, Developer Mojang has improved upon a variety of aspects with hotfixes and released patch notes for updates to give us an in-depth look at the changes.
In other news, after a lot of demand from fans, some matchmaking improvements have come to Minecraft Legends and you can now choose to play on the same team as your friends in matchmaking. You just need to invite them to join the lobby on your team in matchmaking to achieve this and the game will automatically assign other players to the opposing team.
Furthermore, the pace of matchmaking has also improved since its release, with the starting timer being much faster now. Once six players have joined a public lobby, Minecraft Legends will start in 10 seconds and not 60. In addition, bug fixes have improved performance and stability massively and rectified issues while solving several crashes that could occur in different scenarios.
You can play the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles DLC in Minecraft and Blackbird Interactive’s Minecraft Legends right now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
