Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered Officially Gets a Standalone Release

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered Finally Gets Its Own independent release After so much time.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales Ultimate Edition only has Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered as part of its package, but that will be switching later this month. The remastered original will finally have its own standalone copy via the PlayStation Store for just $49.99.

Don’t worry about players who already own a physical or digital copy of the original PS4 game. You can upgrade to the remastered version on PS5 for just $10. Sorry, it’s not free.

Another unfortunate issue as well: PS Plus members who have any edition of the game claimed through the PS Plus subscription service will not be eligible to upgrade to the PS5 version. Players must have purchased it first to be able to upgrade and not for free too.

In addition to this big announcement, Insomniac Games has announced that a Spider-Man 2 prequel comic will soon be released for free on May 6, 2023 as part of the Free Comic Book Day celebration. It shows a glimpse into the lives of Peter Parker, Miles Morales, and Mary Jane Watson before the events of Spider-Man 2 and what they’re up to.
