When you arrive at the Poco Path Lighthouse shortly after starting the game, you will be able to choose from a few new things to do.
if you press Down on the d-pad after talking to Nemona at the top of the tower, you will have access to the game’s photo mode. Photos can be taken using the front lens of your Rotom phone or by taking a selfie of you and the things going on behind you.

How to use photo mode in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Photo mode is a fairly easy feature to maneuver. There are a few things you can do in this mode, including choosing your preferred gestures and poses. There are even different filters you can choose from to really make your photos pop. It is important to note that because the photo button is the same as the screenshot button, you will need to select the Hide guide option by selecting the button A button. This will hide all the regular photo mode features so you can take a picture!
