How to get Dusk Balls in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Part of the legacy of every Pokémon game is finding and using different Pokéballs to help you catch mons and complete your Pokédex. This continues in the latest installment of the series, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. One of the many Pokéballs that you can acquire is the famous Dusk Ball, which is used to easily catch Pokémon either at night or in dark places like caves. If you are looking for this specific Pokéball in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, it is important that you know that you must first obtain all eight gym badges.

Once you have acquired the eight gym badges, you can go to any Delibird Presents store located in the cities of Mesagoza, Levincia and Cascarrafa. Here you will find that the Dusk Ball sells for 1000 Pokédollars. If you don’t have all eight badges, there’s a chance to find a Twilight Ball while traveling through Paldea as a random drop. Just keep an eye out for shiny objects on the ground while traveling. This is not the most reliable way to find these balls, but it is definitely possible.

The Dusk Ball can be used at any time of the day, but has a three times higher capture rate if used at night or in a dark place. Just make sure you’ve KOed the Pokemon of your choice and choose the Twilight Ball when you select the Pokéball you’d like to use. Due to the effort it takes to acquire these balls, we definitely recommend using them if you come across a shiny Pokemon at night or in a cave.
