Where to find Bisharp in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Bisharp continues the long tradition of adding new evolutions to old Pokemon, and this one is majestic.
Bisharp, the Blade Sword Pokémon, is the evolved form of Pawniard, the Blade Blade Pokémon. While you can evolve a pawn to get your Bisharp, we absolutely don’t recommend it, because you will need to catch a specific Bisharp to evolve one.
According to his Pokédex, Bisharp lives in bamboo forests, presumably doing ronin stuff, which means you want to go to the northwest of the world; he looks at the screen below for the exact areas.
then catch a Bisharp that is leading a pack of Pawniard. If you don’t have a Pawniard, you can also catch one of those here.
Our Pokemon Scarlet and Violet walkthrough can walk you through the entire game, including First Day of School, Victory Road, Starfall Street, and Path of Legends. How to evolve Bisharp to Kingambit in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
The evolution from Bisharp to Kingambit is a multi-step process. Here’s a step-by-step summary, and then we’ll take a closer look at it with the following tips:
- Catch a Bisharp leading a herd of pawniard
- Make sure you’re holding a’leader crest‘ Article
- Defeat three other Bisharps they are leading a pack of pawniard
- Level up Bisharp at least level 52
Anyone who appreciates Japanese history and/or the game of chess can appreciate what’s going on here. Let’s break this down point by point, so he can minimize the time he spends trying to evolve his Bisharp.
Catch a Bisharp leading a Pawniard pack
Head to Northern Province Area 2 (next to Fighting Team Star base) and run around the bamboo forest until you find a Bisharp who is surrounded by Pawniard.
Make sure you have the ‘Leader’s Crest’
This Bisharp will probably be around level 52. Catch it and check that it has the Leader’s Crest item. He should be, if he was leading a Pawniard pack. If not, he keeps looking. If you already have a Leader’s Crest, you can equip it with the Bisharp you want it to evolve.
Defeat three other Bisharp
Now you need to find and beat three other Pawniard packs and beat the Bisharp who was leading them, to show the whole clan who is the most worthy of being king. It’s feudal stuff mixed with chess stuff.
However, Bisharp mirror matching is painful if you don’t do any legwork, so our advice is to teach the Bisharp that you want the Brick Break move to evolve to make this easier.
It’s a super effective fighting move that can one-hit any Bisharp you come across. If you don’t have it, the TM is located on the small deserted island just north of you (Area 1 of the Northern Province). Alternatively, check what TM he can create and teach him any other fighting moves he can.
Go up to 52 and evolve
Once this is done, simply level up your Bisharp to level 52 or higher (it should be around level 54 or 55 if you followed this guide) and you’ll unlock the mighty Kingambit.
