How to beat Arven in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
arven is a recurring character in the Path of Legends story in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
After a simple encounter at the beginning of the game, Arven seeks your help to find the five Titans in Paldea: Stony Cliff, Open Sky, Lurking Steel, Quaking Earth, and False Dragon.
Once this is done, he challenges you to a battle with his strengthened party to finish the story. It’s necessary if you want to reach the end game, so you have to know what you’re up against!
Next you will learn how to defeat arven when he challenges you to fight at the end of the Path of Legends story in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Arven’s Battle Strategy in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Once you find and defeat all five Titans, Arven will challenge you to a final battle to conclude the Path of Legends story. This is much more challenging than his early game encounter, so make sure you come equipped with strong gear!
|garganac||62||Rock||Fighting, Grass, Ground, Steel and Water|
|scovillano||60||Grass / Fire||Flying, Poison and Rock|
|Toedscreul||61||Earth / Grass||Bug, Fire, Flying and Ice|
|cloister||59||Frozen water||Electric, Fighting, Grass and Rock|
Ground type: dark
|Bug, Fairy and Fight|
For defeating Arven, you will earn 12,600 prize money.
If you want a stronger counter to Arven’s Pokemon, then bringing a Fighting guy for openers Greedent and Garganacl, and closers Cloyster and Mabosstiff, it is highly recommended.
As for the middle two, Scovillain and Toedscreul, they both have a weakness for flying.
That being said, you’ll also want some backups in case you get caught off guard; therefore, it pays to have a Grass-typing for Garganacl and Cloyster in particular on standby.
Finally, know what it is Mabosstiff that Terastallizes into a Dark-type to close the battle. If you have a strong fairy type in there, that will easily do the trick.
Regardless, you’ll want a team that’s level in the 60s to make sure Arven is manageable, even if he focuses on weaknesses at all times.
Once this is done, the Path of Legends story is complete! If you haven’t already, you’ll be prompted that you need more support in order to progress. If it’s not clear, that means finishing the Victory Road and Starfall Street stories, before advancing to the endgame.
