Appearances can be deceiving, as some characters can appear older than they actually are, with one such character named Purah in Tears of the Kingdom not looking or acting his actual age. How old is Purah in Tears of the Kingdom?
Despite his appearance and attitude, Purah is actually 124 years old. in Tears of the Kingdom. The reason why she looks so much younger is because of an age-reversing rune experiment gone terribly wrong. It seems that Purah managed to resolve the issues at the time of Tears of the Kingdom, as she was able to restore herself to her prime.
In Breath of the Wild, Purah appears younger. Much younger. In fact, one could easily mistake her for a 6-year-old girl. She is actually the older sister of Impa, the eldest of the Sheikah tribe. The aftermath of her makes her control the Rune that reverses her age much better, as she has now physically aged her own body to the age of 20.
The fact that Purah looks and acts extremely young gives the impression of a gifted prodigy beyond his years. However, most people won’t realize at first glance that she actually has experience of her backing her up. Though common sense may be questionable, she decided to try the age-reversing rune on herself.
While there is a time jump between Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, that’s only a few years at most. So Purah clearly didn’t wait for her body to age naturally like it does in the sequel.
Even the people of Hateno village are confused by Purah’s childish appearance. It’s been a known secret that Purah doesn’t like children, so the villagers are understandably curious why a little boy, who they don’t know is actually Purah, is suddenly working in her lab.
