When you’re trying to catch them all, it’s good to know your progress. The Pokédex is a useful tool for determining how many Pokémon you have caught so far and displays a numbered list of all the Pokémon you have discovered in the region. Once you’ve caught or battled a Pokémon, you can view its habitat from the Pokédex screen, allowing you to find more Pokémon of that species. Here’s how to open your Pokédex in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Once you have completed a certain number of entries in the Pokedex, you will receive milestone rewards. These rewards include Evolution Stones, Poke Balls, and even the rare Beast Ball. This is a useful incentive for players to complete the Pokedex, even if they don’t plan on finishing every entry. Make sure you accept these rewards by pressing x in the Pokedex library, as they are not claimed automatically.
