Hollow Knight Silksong delayed; New Sequel Goes ‘Pretty Big’



Team Cherry officially confirms that Hollow Knight Silksong has been delayed because the new sequel has gotten “pretty big” now.

The long-awaited sequel to Metroidvania, Hollow Knight Silksong, has been delayed. It was supposed to expire in the first half of 2023. Team Cherry representative matthew griffin He was the one who left the news on his Twitter account to confirm that the game will be released at a later date.

“Hey gang, just a quick update on Silksong,” he wrote. “We had planned to release it in the first half of 2023, but development is still ongoing. We’re excited about the way the game is developing, and it’s gotten pretty big, so we want to take the time to make the game the best it can be. Expect more details from us as we get closer to launch.”

Hollow Knight Silksong Delayed

Fans already speculated that the game would be released on the previously planned release date. There were a few updates from the developers, but fans were suspicious that it might be delayed. It turned out to be true.

Hollow Knight Silksong promises to have a whole new realm, more than 150 different enemies, and a Silk Soul mode, which is a new difficulty setting that will greatly change gameplay after the first game as if it were a brand new game.

Hollow Knight Silksong does not have a new release window yet. It will be available for PC, Nintendo Switch, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
