If you’ve been around the alien environment in High On Life, you might notice what appear to be yellow power boxes with a square hole in the center. These will look weird because you won’t know how to disable them properly no matter where you look, but don’t worry. This guide will show you how to disable those yellow power boxes in High On Life, so read on.
How to disable yellow power boxes in High On Life?
In high on life you must fire the creature at the square hole in the yellow power boxes to disable them. After the creatures fire their babies into the power box, they’ll disable it for you from the inside.
Despite encountering many yellow power boxes early in the high-on-life, you’re only able to get the creature about halfway through the game. You will find this Gatlian as part of your arsenal while searching for the Skrendel Brothers on Zephyr Paradise. He’ll be trapped in a lab with plenty of force field bubbles where you’ll quickly learn how to use it.
The creature acts like a live grenade launcher. Due to alien alien biology, he is a Gatlan who launches his children as living grenades that can weaken enemies or mind control them towards you. However, his children can also disable the yellow power boxes that maintain walls, shields, and other structures.
Once you shoot one of the creature babies in these holes, they will automatically disable it for you. They are even able to travel short distances to ensure that their few seconds of survival are not wasted.
You’ll be using the occasional creature to solve puzzles along the way. Unfortunately this means you have to progress through the game before you can get it. If you want to know about other Gatlins, our All High on Life Guns and How to Get Them guide is the guide you’re looking for.
