Developer Tango Gameworks has just released a new patch for Hi-Fi Rush and it improves a very important aspect of the game: couch pillows. This new update is the fourth one the game has received since launching and it fixes a few issues in the rhythm-based action game. Bethesda has also released patch notes for the update to give us a more detailed look at the changes.
First up, this patch has removed the exploit allowing players to continuously resell previously sold attacks. You can’t exploit this bug anymore, adding realism to the game as you can’t sell what you don’t own. An issue in the game has been preventing players from unlocking the “Specialist” challenge despite purchasing all available special attacks.
But, the update has fixed this issue and you can now unlock this challenge on The Wall of Fame. Do keep in mind that this is retroactive so if you have already purchased the attacks in Hi-Fi Rush, the objective will register as complete automatically in the game. In addition, the bug preventing the 808 couch animation from playing has been rectified.
You can now see this hidden cutscene if you play with her while she’s equipped with the Bossplay Roquefort costume. This Hi-Fi Rush patch has also overhauled the support of PSO caching on the Microsoft Store version. Previously, this bug was causing hitching during gameplay but won’t bother players anymore. Last but not least, the softness of the couch pillow in the hideout has received an upgrade in this patch.
This adjusted softness in the hideout will better refresh Chai when he is relaxing in between the missions. Hence, this increase in comfort might be the most important change in this update. These are all of the changes present in the fourth Hi-Fi Rush patch, which is live right now. You can download it on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC to further improve one of the best indie games of 2023.
