Phishing scams are on the rise again and this time Genshin Impact players recently reported such attempts.
Genshin Impact phishing scams are on the rise
Many players have recently submitted reports to HoYoVerse about others logging into phishing sites from unknown sources. According to an official statement from the developers, these actions have now resulted in unauthorized logins and account theft, which was quite unfortunate.
Avoid unofficial websites and third-party plugins
Players are now advised to ensure that they only visit the official HoYoVerse and Genshin Impact websites and to avoid unofficial sources that could take advantage of them. The developers also plan to improve account security through technical means. They also ask players not to use external or third-party plugins.
There are several unofficial websites to avoid, such as those that offer players to reload Primogems. It should be from their official methods only. Avoid trying to visit sites that offer to sell accounts for very rare characters, weapons, artifacts, and more.
Say NO to providing confidential information
Players are advised NOT to provide any sensitive security information to sketchy sites, possibly in exchange to buy accounts or Primogems from them. Never share account passwords, SMS and email verification codes with other people and never share an account with other people.

Call for help immediately
Affected players should contact HoYoVerse immediately. They may be able to help you if the report was submitted earlier.
You should always be careful when interacting with unofficial websites. It’s best to avoid them altogether and wait for official word from HoYoVerse.
Genshin Impact is now available on mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5.
