Free-To-Play Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodhunt Halts Development

A new report confirms that the free-to-play battle royale Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodhunt will be halting development soon.

Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodhunt was first released in April 2022 after months of early access. The game is set in the original pen-and-paper RPG universe, where players compete against 48 other players. They can use guns, swords, and other weapons they can find on the field.

developer revealed on Monday that development on Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodhunt will now halt. Since you couldn’t reach the required number of players, development will stop. The servers will still be up and monetization will be disabled for players who will continue to play.

In addition to the servers remaining online, an in-game voting system will be implemented to keep the game up to date. Since monetization will be stopped, the developers are now looking for a way to implement a new method to earn tokens in-game more easily to allow players to continue playing and unlock cosmetics afterwards.

“Since launch, we have been on a journey to excite and delight our players, however, while we have an amazing and highly engaged community, we have not been able to reach the critical mass needed to sustain development,” the developers said. in an official blog post. “This has led us to make the decision to stop development of Bloodhunt.

With that being said, the Bloodhunt servers will remain up and the game will remain available to play. Our goal is to keep the servers up and running as long as we have an active player base and community.”

Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodhunt is out now for PC and PS5.
