The announcement didn’t specify if this will be a type of racing game, but there’s a good chance it could be one.
The leadership team will include COO Harinder Sangha and executive producer Tom Butcher. The former was previously co-studio head at Sumo Digital Leamington, while the latter was lead producer at Playground.
Maverick Games’ CTO is Matt Craven, who was CTO of PlayGround. Content Director Gareth Harwood was previously the Technical Art Director for Xbox Studio, and Audio Director Fraser Strachan was also the Audio Director at Playground Games.

“Our goal is for Maverick Games to be a studio that people love,” Brown said. “For gamers, we’re already working on an exciting, high-quality title, and for developers, we’re building a home where everyone is encouraged to take risks, be curious, be creative, be innovative, be themselves, and most of all, be a Maverick”.
