The latest trailer introduces protagonist Frey Holland’s life in New York City and the world of Athia. It alternates between both worlds where Frey is seen running from people chasing her on the streets of New York City and in the woods of Athia, where she is chased by corrupted deer. While in New York City, he runs into an obstacle in the form of a fence, he finds a new path in Athia with his magic.
They both have the same struggles, but one has given Frey a new way of dealing with them. She fights them with her new weapon, magic, and meets their fights head-on, even if they are ferocious monsters.
Square Enix recently released a playable demo of Forspoken and the feedback has been pretty good so far. There are negative aspects, but they use them to make the game even better.
Forspoken launches on January 24, 2023 on PS5 and PC.
