Square Enix has recently released Final Fantasy VII Rebirth State of Play trailer revealing official release date.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth State of Play Trailer Highlights

To conclude the recent State of Play event, PlayStation revealed one more trailer to show off and it was one of the games fans have been waiting for: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. The sequel to Final Fantasy VII Remake, this new trailer revealed tons of new footage that hasn’t been seen before.

Release date

The video reveals the official release date of the upcoming sequel: February 29, 2024 exclusively for PS5.

Detailing the trailer

The video begins with an injured Zack and an unconscious Cloud arriving at a city and Rufus firing the big gun at Midgar. Several scenes then follow in which Cloud and the gang explore new areas and fight monsters along the way. One of the first notable places that appear is the beach.

Several flashbacks of Sephiroth and Cloud were also featured, causing the super soldier to doubt his humanity. The scenes jump from one side to the other so it doesn’t tell many details about it.

Finally, two new characters were also revealed in this trailer, which were Caith Sith and Vincent. Two summons were also revealed, Alexander and Odin. Also on display was the Golden Saucer with chocobo racing and the different types of chocobos that can be raised.

Apart from the trailer, two special editions In addition to the standard, the Deluxe and Collector’s Edition were revealed.
