Diablo IV Server Slam will give players one last weekend to play Diablo IV, but this is only a small part of the full game. At the very least, they will be able to test their skills and also test the capabilities of the servers before launch, aka stress test. Players will be able to try out Prologue and all of Act I. Explore Fracture Peaks to its fullest with this free weekend.

Players will be able to try the full roster: Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Rogue, and Sorcerer. Test out customizations, use the various skills you learn throughout the game, and hone before full release.

There are a few things to note from the official website:

  • Any character progress made during Early Access and Open Beta weekends will not carry over to Server Slam. Additionally, any character progress made during Server Slam will not carry over at launch.
  • Players can level up their characters up to level 20, after which you will stop earning skill points, but you will be able to continue slaying demons and earning cool gear.
  • The drop rate for Legendary items has been changed to reflect the drop rate that will be present in the release version of Diablo IV.
  • The Diablo IV version available during Server Slam will include all of the bug fixes and updates detailed on our Open Beta Retrospective blog.

In addition to exploring Fractured Peaks, there are other activities to do with the characters. Visit Kyovashad to repair and purchase new gear, upgrade healing potions, access the Stash, and more. There are main and side quests to experience, world and legion events to challenge, and dungeons to farm.

Players can also challenge the boss monster Ashava. It will be a challenge since in Diablo IV Server Slam, players cannot go above level 20. They can challenge the boss monster at these times:

  • May 13 starting at 9am PDT and every 3 hours thereafter until the final appearance on May 14 at 9am PDT.

Defeating Ashava will grant the Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy reward. Early Access and Open Beta weekends will once again be available, giving players who have not previously purchased them a chance. The rewards will be unlocked once Diablo IV is released.

Those who have already earned them in Early Access and Open Beta weekends do not need to earn them again. Here are the ways to earn them:

  • Initial accident title: obtained by reach Kyovashad with a character.
  • Early Voyager Title: Earned by reaching level 20 in a character.
  • Beta Wolf Pack cosmetic item: Obtained by reaching level 20 on a character.
  • Mount Ashava’s Cry Trophy: Obtained by defeating Ashava with a level 20 character.

Players can download the Server Slam version of Diablo IV on May 10, 2023 at 12pm PDT. For those who have not downloaded the open beta, you will need to download it and then choose the version of Diablo IV – Server Slam. For those who already have the Open Beta, you will need to download the update. Once downloaded, they just have to wait for the Server Slam to start.
