Dead Space Remake will follow a linear story, but players will be able to seamlessly explore Ishimura and even go through different rooms. Also note that there is an alternate ending that was confirmed in one of the trophies. Meeting is the name of the alternate ending achievement in Dead Space Remake. To get the Reunion Trophy one needs to “see the alternate ending on any difficulty mode” to win it. Whether or not you have to replay the full game on a different difficulty mode, you’ll have to figure out how to trigger that ending when the game finally comes out on January 27, 2023.

Dead Space Remake features a new bonus game that will become available after beating the game once. However, there are no notable post-content unlockables unless you count the new random AI that will produce new scares that will keep each game from feeling like the last. So you’ll always have new experiences in Ishamura, even if you’ve already played the new version once.

Despite closely following the original Dead Space, Motive Studio has added some replayability improvements that will allow players to make the most of their time in the new version. The option to opt for a new game plus and a randomizer that creates new scares and atmosphere that you may not have seen in the previous game.
