Daredevil’s Charlie Cox Lovingly Declares Andrew Garfield the Third-Best Spider-Man

At the GQ Men of the Year event, Reckless star Charlie Cox took the stage to sing the praises of Andrew Garfield, jokingly declaring that his good friend and fellow Marvel actor is the third greatest Spider-Man of all time.

Cox and Garfield share a long history, as the two lived together as up-and-coming actors some 14 years ago. In GQ Men of the Year, Cox toasted Garfield, calling him “[o]one of, if not the greatest actor of our generation.” Cox hailed “another sickeningly good year” for Garfield before joking that his friend had secured “his legacy as the third-greatest Spider-Man of all time.”

Cox continued: “A couple of years ago, I was having a conversation with a friend of mine lamenting the seemingly limitless talents of our friend and Last Man of the Year tonight, Mr. Andrew Garfield. I said, ‘That’s really annoying, huh? Is there nothing he can’t do?'” However, his anonymous mutual friend told Cox that the only thing Garfield couldn’t do was sing. “So you can imagine how excited we were when we found out that he had committed to a project that couldn’t possibly succeed.
