Cyberpunk 2077 Concert: Waiting For Dodger is one of the concerts you’ll perform for Mr. Hands in the Phantom Liberty DLC. Not even the police are safe from danger in the dystopian world of Cyberpunk 2077. Concerts like Waiting For Dodger give you an inside look at how dangerous it is to be a law enforcement officer in Night City. This Service can be performed in multiple ways and have different results depending on your choices.
In this guide, I will teach you how to complete the Waiting For Dodger gig in the best possible way and the rewards that come with completion.
Waiting for the Dodgers tutorial
The Waiting For Dodger concert will be available through Mr. Hands after completing the initial mission called “Spider and the Fly” for the Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty DLC. This concert can be started by heading to the green concert icon on your map near the old NCPD station near the Grand Imperial Mall fast travel point.
Once you are at the location, you will receive a call from Mr. Hands, who will inform you about two NCPD officers who tried to make a deal with Dodger only to end up getting captured. The repairman tells you to talk to Stella, who is the fiancee of one of the captured officers. He enters the car indicated by your objective marker to start talking to her and she will inform you about her fiancé Bill and her partner Charlie.
After getting out of the car, the NCPD station is across the street. You can enter through the main door. There are many enemies, however, thanks to the numerous hallways, it is easy to sneak around this Gig. Although it won’t matter if you kill the enemies inside, you will unlock additional dialogue near the end of the concert if you complete this mission without killing anyone.
Inside the NCPD station, your goal is to find Bill and Charlie. They are in the basement which you can access via the elevator at the back of the first floor. It’s on the left side of the offices, past some small stairs below.
After entering the basement, there is an enemy guard trying to enter the door at the end of the hallway. Grab him and knock him out. Talk to the stranger on the other side of the door and you’ll find out it’s Charles. Help him open the door and he will take you inside, where Bill is.
It is here where you will discover the truth. The two cops they sent you to rescue arrested a thief who robbed Dodger, who then swallowed the drugs he stole. The thief overdosed and the two NCPD officers tried to remove the dissolved drugs by opening the body. Now they are afraid that Dodger will kill them for not getting the drugs back from him.
This surprises both V and Johnny, who are shocked by his stupidity. Regardless, V agrees to help get them out. They will only have to do it using their patrol car in the garage. Then you will have to escort them.
From here follow the two police officers out of the room and down the stairs on the left. They will open the door to the lower floor. You’ll need to take care of the camera in the hallway and an enemy guard at the end before Bill and Charlie can pass safely. Follow them to a room with a bunch of computers, but you can’t continue because the door is tightly closed.
You can force the door open if you have at least one 17 body statistics. Otherwise, return to the hallway and enter the server room near the entrance from the stairs. Override the power box just on the other side of the entrance and then return to Bill and Charlie.
You will enter a storage room guarded by two enemies. Quickly hack the yellow machine to bring them closer with a distraction, then take them out from behind. Then, you can go to the locker room.
The locker room has two more guards. Do a quick distraction with the vending machine and then sneak up behind whoever is in the chair. Knock him out and then do the same to the other guard. The garage is right next to here.
This is where you have to make an important decision. Before Bill and Charlie can reach their patrol car, Dodger makes an appearance. He presses the three of them about what happened and as the two NCPD officers search for answers, he turns to V.
You have two options that will lead to different results. You can lie and back up the stories Bill and Charlie are trying to tell, or you can also confess and simply tell Dodger the truth about what happened.
Should you tell Dodger the truth?
Depending on your dialogue options when facing Dodger, the results will be different in each of the following options:
Lie about the Dodgers’ pick
I’d say choosing to lie to Dodger and back up Bill and Charlie’s stories is the best option. because this is your only chance to get your hands on Cyberpunk 2077’s iconic revolver, the Rosco. These are the dialog options to obtain this result:
- “I was hired to help.”
- “He’s telling the truth.”
Dodge will think something is up and immediately turn hostile. Bill and Charlie will hide behind the patrol car, so it’s up to you to take him and his bodyguard out. They are not a difficult fight and will go down easily.
Once the fight is over, loot Dodger’s body to get the Iconic Power Revolver (Level +5), Rosco. Has a +150% headshot damage multiplier, +25% armor penetration, +50% critical damage. Rosco is a revolver that can instantly kill normal enemies if you shoot them first in the leg and then in the head. He also deals additional critical damage, making him effective against tougher enemies such as bosses, mini-bosses, cyber psychos, and those with a skull on their health bar. Additionally, headshots against grounded enemies will always deal critical damage.
Tell Dodger the truth choice
Ultimately, you can tell Dodger the truth to avoid skirmishes. Surprisingly, he laughs and mocks the two idiots for going out of their way for his lost property. Dodger will let Bill and Charlie go citing that the story was worth losing his product for and fires them. These are the dialog options to obtain this result:
- “I was hired to help.”
- “He’s telling the truth.”
- “He’s lying.”
You can’t get his iconic weapon this way, but everyone makes it out alive.
Whatever you choose, leave the old NCPD station and Mr. Hands will call you to ask what happened. After the call, you will be done with the Waiting For Dodger concert. Collect your reward and here V learns to never do police work again.
Waiting for rewards from the Dodgers: 8000 whirlpools, +1355 XP
