Next up, Update 5.0.0 is also introducing brand-new weapons to Battlefield 2042 in season 5. These mint weapons include the BFP.50, which is a powerful hand cannon developers predict will become very popular. The GEW-46, a medium-range assault rifle, is another addition to the FPS title with the XCE Bar high-precision bolt action rifle also coming to the game.

You will be able to unlock dozens of items across the 100 tiers of the free and Premium Battle Pass in Battlefield 2042. These include cosmetics, XP boosters, and Seasonal Boosters and players holding the pass for over a year will get a free Epic Skin. Furthermore, DICE is introducing attachment support and universal cosmetic for vault weapons like snipers and assault rifles as part of its Quality of Life improvements in season 5.

Vehicle Loadouts are also getting reworked in Battlefield 2042 to rework their combat roles through Update 5.0.0. In addition, Dozer and Irish are the Specicliast receiving improvements through this patch for gameplay reasons. Damage unity functionality, squad functionality, and weapon accuracy have also been upgraded in the FPS game via this season 5 patch.

Moving on, the overall changelog gives us a detailed look at the changes in Battlefield 2042 season 5. The bug displacing solo/co-op players in separate squads when joining with friends has been rectified. Patch 5.0.0 has also fixed audio issues with voiceovers, weapon handling, and specialist movement sounds. Moreover, AI Soldiers will try to avoid grenades now as this issue is no longer in the game.

AI Soldiers can also enter vehicles directly from parachutes from now on and will stop shooting when a round is over. Next up, the attachments belonging to Vault Weapons will now be available via the Web Builder in Battlefield 2042. Update 5.0.0 has also overhauled the bug that prevented you from swapping to the last equipped weapon after closing the Call in Military tablet.

Earlier, DICE released patch notes alongside this update to give us an in-depth look at all the changes. First up in the changelog were the improvements to the Chat in Battlefield 2042. All-Chat Functionality is now available and you can once again congratulate the other team for dancing on top of your drowned body. In addition, All-Chat will be turned off by default when the update comes out.

You will need to turn on this feature to chat with the opposing team and you can do this via Options > Display > HUD General > Chat Section.
