Atlus recently teased that it plans to announce a new game after releasing two upcoming Persona titles.
In recent Famitsu New Year Announcements, Atlus is planning to announce a new game after the launch of Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden on modern platforms. For those who didn’t know, both of these games will be released on January 19, 2023, so it’s possible that this new announcement could be after that.
Unfortunately, the details of the post on Famitsu are unclear as this is just a tease. All we know is that it’s going to be a brand new game and not part of any existing IP that Atlus owns. It promises to be a completely different title without any ties to Shin Megami Tensei or Persona.
Since this is what Atlus is already announcing, we can be sure that it will be a brand new title. It might borrow a little bit of elements from Shin Megami’s lore, but the whole story and possibly gameplay mechanics will be something completely different.
