Assassin’s Creed Mirage Chromatic Aberration Option Gets a Mod

Just days after Assassin’s Creed Mirage players became enraged because a certain feature didn’t have a toggle option, one user has just released a mod to disable this visual feature!

Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s chromatic aberration became a big problem for gamers. The image quality is not sharper, even if the purpose of the chromatic aberration is to give that feeling of realism by adding an effect as if you are looking through a lens. However, that didn’t turn out well for those who played Assassin’s Creed Mirage on PC. This visual effect can cause nausea in some people, even straining their eyesight.

The biggest problem is that there is no way to turn off chromatic aberration in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which, in most cases, should at least have that option in the graphics settings. A nice guy with the username kamzik123. uploaded a mod on NexusMods that gives players the option to turn off chromatic aberration entirely. Thanks, kamzik123!

At the moment, Ubisoft has apparently acknowledged the request on the game’s Discord channel, according to a Reddit user. We don’t have official notes for any upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage patches or updates, but rest assured that the development team at Ubisoft Bordeaux is definitely looking into the issue.

According to Leif in his review of Assassin’s Creed Mirage for PS5, the game “really delivered an assassin simulator game that we all loved from the beginning.” You can read Leif’s AC Mirage review.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is now available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
