In the Aetherium War event for Honkai: Star Rail, Aether Spirits are your primary means of combat. Unlike the characters you mostly get through the game’s gacha system, how you acquire Aether Spirits is through a different method. In this guide, I’ll teach you how to get all the Aether Spirits and the best chips to equip them with.

You can get Aether Spirits by going through the four Victory Zones for the Interastral Tournament Festival. Each Victory Zone has their own different types of Aether Spirits which you can get by battling and defeating them.

Corridor of Fading Echoes Aether Spirits

Blaze Out of Space

  • Type: Aberrant
  • HP: 3,800-7,200
  • ATK: 318-756
  • SPD: 110

An Overlord Aether Spirit that you get right at the start of the Corridor of Fading Echoes Victory Zone from Giovanni. This attack-type Aberrant has incredibly strong AoE attacks with its skill and Ultimate.

Blaze Out of Space Skills

  • Torching Flames (Talent)
    For every enemy afflicted with Burn, increases DMG dealt while attacking by 18%.
  • Bellowing Inferno (Basic ATK)
    Deals 60% of Blaze Out of Space’s ATK as DMG to a target enemy, with a 100% base chance to Burn the target for 2 turns.
  • Rain of Purifying Flames (Skill)
    Deals 50% of the unit’s ATK as DMG to a random enemy, with a 100% base chance to Burn the target for 2 turns. This effect can be repeatedly triggered 5 times. While Burned, the target will take DoT equal to 25% of Blaze Out of Space’s ATK at the start of each turn.
  • Bomb en Masse (Ultimate)
    Deals 220% of Blaze Out of Space’s ATK as DMG to all enemies. Costs 3 Energy.

Best Expansion Chips for Blaze Out of Space

  • Malfunctioning Chip
    Deal an extra 50% damage when attacking debuffed enemies.
  • Negative Load Algorithm Chip
    Damage increases by 25% for each debuff of up to 4 debuffs.
  • Morale Activation Chip
    Allies get 1 stack of Morale after an ally attacks increases DMG, DMG RES, SPD by up to 0.4% and can be stacked up to 60 times.

Silvermane Cannoneer

  • Type: Humanoid

This support-type Aether Spirit can do follow up attacks and even buff DMG dealt by allies. Most likely the first Aether Spirit you’ll capture by wandering in the Corridor of Fading Echoes Victory Zone.

Silvermane Cannoneer Skills

  • Silvermane Bombardment (Talent)
    While outside of the unit’s turn, increases DMG dealt by 30%. When entering battle, the unit’s action is Advanced Forward by 60%.
  • Barrage (Basic ATK)
    Deals 100% of Silvermane Cannoneer’s ATK as DMG to a target enemy and enemies adjacent to it.
  • Covering Support (Skill)
    Supports 1 ally for 2 turns. When that ally attacks, launches a follow-up attack. Deals 100% of Silvermane Cannoneer’s ATK as DMG to an attacked target and 50% of Silvermane Cannoneer’s ATK as DMG to enemies adjacent to it.
  • Lock and Load (Ultimate)
    Increases an ally’s ATK by 50% for 2 turns. If the target ally is not this unit, additionally regenerates 2 Energy for that ally. Costs 3 Energy.

Best Expansion Chips for Silvermane Cannoneer

  • Morale Activation Chip
    Allies get 1 stack of Morale after an ally attacks increases DMG, DMG RES, SPD by up to 0.4% and can be stacked up to 60 times.

A powerful attack-type Aether Spirit that can keep attacking enemies early on in fights. One of the first ones you’ll capture in the Corridor of Fading Echoes Victory Zone.

Imaginary Weaver Skills

  • Imaginary Rate (Talent)
    Unit’s action is Advanced Forward by 99% after doing a Basic ATK or Skill. Triggers only once per battle.
  • Carol Beam (Basic ATK)
    Deals 100% of Imaginary Weaver’s ATK as DMG to a target enemy.
  • Reverberating Carol (Skill)
    Deals 135% of Imaginary Weaver’s ATK as DMG to a target enemy and enemies adjacent to it. Then increases the unit’s next attack’s DMG by 50%.
  • Carolburst (Ultimate)
    Target an enemy unit for 450% of Weaver’s ATK damage.

  • Piercing Grenade (Skill)
    Deals 150% of Silvermane Gunner’s ATK as DMG to a target enemy and causes that target to take 35% of Silvermane Gunner’s ATK as Additional DMG every time the target is attacked. Lasts for 2 turns.
  • Siege Grenade (Ultimate)
    Deals 300% of Silvermane Gunner’s ATK as DMG to a target enemy. The lower the target’s HP percentage, the higher the ability’s DMG dealt, increasing up to 100%. Costs 3 Energy.

Silvermane Lieutenant Skills

  • Silvermane Command (Talent)
    After a Shielded ally is attacked by an enemy, launches a follow-up attack to the attacker, dealing 250% of Silvermane Lieutenant’s ATK as DMG and regenerating 1 Energy. This effect can be triggered 3 time(s) each turn.
  • Assault (Basic ATK)
    Deals 100% of Silvermane Lieutenant’s ATK as DMG to a target enemy.
  • Defense Line (Skill)
    Grants a Shield capable of blocking DMG equal to 30% of Silvermane Lieutenant’s Max HP to a target ally. If the target ally’s current HP percentage is greater than or equal to 60%, its chance of getting attacked is greatly increased. Lasts for 2 turns.
  • Total Preparation (Ultimate)
    Grants a Shield capable of blocking DMG equal to 12% of Silvermane Lieutenant’s Max HP to all allies for 2 turns. Costs 4 Energy

    Significantly increases the chances of being attacked but conjures a Shield at the start of battle that absorbs DMG 25% equal to the wearer’s Max HP + 500.

    Gains a Barrier that nullifies DMG except for DoT after turn.

Cloudford Aether Spirits

Entrance Ingenium: Illumination Dragonfish

  • Type: Mechanical

This attack-type Aether Spirit can be unpredictable with its random DoTs but is good for dealing with crowds. Though has a useless Ultimate and damages allies upon being knocked down. Can be recruited upon defeating it on Cloudford for the first time.

Entrance Ingenium: Illumination Dragonfish Skills

  • Candle Flame (Talent)
    When knocked down, deals 300% of Entranced Ingenium: Illumination Dragonfish’s ATK as DMG to all allies and grants all allies 1 Energy.
  • Scorch (Basic ATK)
    Deals 100% of Entranced Ingenium: Illumination Dragonfish’s ATK as DMG to all enemies.
  • Nightly Luminosity (Skill)
    Deals 30% of Entranced Ingenium: Illumination Dragonfish’s ATK as DMG to all enemies. There is a 125% base chance to inflict Burn/Wind Shear/Shock/Bleed on the target, causing the target to take 100% of the Dragonfish’s ATK as DoT at the start of each turn for 3 turn(s).
  • Display Fireworks (Ultimate)
    Fires out spectacular fireworks that don’t really do anything, but hey, they’re nice to look at. Costs 2 Energy.

    Blocks a single instance of fatal DMG. When triggered, restores HP equal to 60% of the unit’s Max HP and dispels all debuffs on the unit. Then, launches a follow-up attack, dealing 600% of Entranced Ingenium: Obedient Dracolion’s ATK as DMG to a random enemy.
  • Lion’s Roar (Basic ATK)
    Deals 100% of Entranced Ingenium: Obedient Dracolion’s ATK as DMG to a target enemy.
  • Changing Fate (Skill)
    Consumes HP equal to 35% of the unit’s Max HP, and restores HP equal to 45% of the unit’s Max HP to a target ally (except the unit). If the unit has insufficient HP, their HP will be reduced to 1.
  • Self-Reconstruction (Ultimate)
    Reset Emergency Mode’s trigger count.

  • Wolf Consumption (Skill)

  • Rallying Howl (Ultimate)
    Summons Shadow Jackhyena that lasts for 4 turns. Shadow Jackhyena has 150 SPD. At the start of the turn, it launches a follow-up attack to a random enemy, dealing 100% of Abundance Sprite: Wooden Lupus’s ATK as DMG. Costs 3 Energy.

  • Inspire (Skill)
    Causes a target ally to immediately take action again.
  • Great Inspiration (Ultimate)
    Increases all allies’ ATK by 35% for 2 turn(s). During this time, if an ally receives an attack, additionally increases their ATK by 15%. Costs 3 Energy.

    Whenever another target takes action, gains 1 stack of Congeal. Every stack reduces DMG received by 0.5% and increases Max HP by 0.5%. Stacks up to 80 time(s).
  • Ice Wheel Crusher (Basic ATK)
    Deals 100% of Frigid Prowler’s ATK as DMG to a target enemy.
  • Cryo-Extractor (Skill)
    Absorbs HP equal to 35% of the Max HP of adjacent allies to heal the unit, then gains Conjunction of Frost stacks equivalent to the number of allies whose HP was absorbed. Every stack increases the unit’s DMG dealt by 50%, stacking up to 10 time(s). If no other allies are present, this ability cannot be used.
  • Frozen Storm (Ultimate)
    Deals DMG equal to 250% of Frigid Prowler’s ATK to all enemies. The attacked enemy targets have a 50% base chance to be Frozen for 1 turn. While Frozen, the enemy targets cannot take action and will take DMG equal to 50% of Frigid Prowler’s ATK at the start of each turn. Costs 4 Energy.

    100% chance to freeze enemies for a turn upon entering battle.

    Greatly increases the chances of being targeted but increases the Max HP by 40%.

Warp Trotter

  • Type: Aberrant
  • HP: 3,800-7,200

A healing type Aether Spirit that can buff friendly units. Will be given to you during the Let’s Go! Aetherium Wars! by Eric after defeating Topaz’s Support Squad. You can even change its name during the first time. No way to change it afterwards though.

Warp Trotter Skills

  • Mascot (Talent)
    After receiving an attack, increases other allies’ ATK by 30% for 1 turn(s).
  • Trotter Wave (Basic ATK)
    Deals DMG equal to 100% of Trotter’s ATK to all enemies.
  • Lucky Star (Skill)
    Restores HP equal to 15% of Trotter’s Max HP to the ally with the lowest HP. Restores HP equal to 15% of Trotter’s Max HP to all allies.
  • Hogdash (Ultimate)
    Become Enhanced. During this period, using Basic ATK increases the entire team’s DMG by 20% and triggers a healing effect identical to that of Lucky Star. Enhancement lasts for 2 turn(s), during which Skill is disabled.
