A Starfish is Born is one of High On Life’s achievements and one of the most difficult to achieve because it can easily be lost if a single step is not done correctly. Yet, it is also one of the most fulfilling to achieve as players help one reach stardom.
In this guide, we’ll go through the steps on how to get the A Starfish is Born Achievement in High On Life.
How to get starfish birth success
To achieve A Starfish is Born, you must help a certain NPC named Globo to reach his dreams of becoming a famous drummer. You will need to follow these steps to ensure that the side quest progresses smoothly, otherwise you will miss a step and need to start over in a new playthrough. .
Step 1: Complete the 9-Torg bounty.
9-Torg will be your first reward and you must clear it to gain access to Blame City where Globo is.
Step 2: Talk to Globo’s friend in Bloom City.
Returning home from Grace, you will pass Globo and his friend on the left before reaching your home. Talk to Globo’s friend and he will tell you that Globo would like a drum to play. At this point, don’t go to Mr. Cap’s pawn shop just yet to buy a drum and give it to Globo. Instead, head home for the next bounty.
Step 3: Complete your second grace.
After defeating 9-Torg, the next two rewards will become available. Choose between the Cherubis or the Douglas Bounty, then defeat the boss. Return home for the next step.
Step 4: Go to Mr. Cap’s Pawn Shop, buy a drum and give it to Globo.
Once you return home, you can explore a bit more in Blum City. Go to Mr. Cap’s Pawn Shop to buy a drum for 78 pesos. Then, go back to Globo and give him the drum.
Step 5: Complete your third grace.
Return home and get the third boon. Complete the bounty and report back to Jane.
Step 6: Visit Globo.
After performing your third favor, visit Globo once more and you’ll notice a mob has gathered around him. Talk to Globo and his friend, and then you can get your next bounty.
Step 7: Complete your fourth grace.
As before, two more prizes have become available. You can either Dr. Giblets or Skrendel Bros. You can go for whatever you want and then complete it. Go back to the house and turn Grace to Jain.
Step 8: Visit Globo again.
Once you go back to Globo’s location, you’ll notice that he’s no longer there, but his friend is still standing there and that there are more Globo posters on the walls. Talk to Globo’s friend and then you’re free to move on to the next bounty.
Step 9: Complete your fifth grace.
Go ahead and complete the next bounty, then report back to Jane.
Step 10: Check back on Globo.
At this point, you should be at the part where Blame City is being attacked. Because of this, both Globo and his friend are no longer standing in that place. After visiting the scene, you can then go to the slums to fight the invasion.
Step 11: Complete the Napoleon Grace.
Napoleon will be the sixth grace you need to clear. Once you’re done, report back to Jane.
Step 12: Watch Globo on the cafeteria screens
Before confronting Garmantuous, head back to Blum City and go straight to the Red Cafeteria. If you’ve followed the steps correctly up until this point, you’ll see Globo play the drums you’ve played as it’s being broadcast on the display screens. Go to one of these screens and stare at it for a few moments to earn the A Starfish is Born achievement.
Make sure not to miss this opportunity though as you can still visit Bloom City again after completing the game. There have been some reports from players that Globo did not appear on the screens even though they had followed the steps up to step 11, only visiting the city after defeating Garmantos. This could be by design or a bug that could be removed in a future update. For now, it’s best to stick to the steps.
