The French Voice Actor of King Louen from the Total War: Warhammer series has revealed in a podcast with a french journalist that some new announcement from the franchise is coming soon.

As of now, it is quite unclear whether this announcement is hinting towards a new Total War title or a DLC. However, according to the game’s fans, it will likely be a DLC announcement. The probability of it being a Warhammer title not related to the Total War series is also quite high.

Total War: Warhammer is a real-time strategy and turn-based game developed by Creative Assembly and published by SEGA. The first Total War: Warhammer title was released in May 2016. Total War: Warhammer 2 was then released in September 2017, and then the last game in the trilogy was released in February 2022.

All Total War: Warhammer games are set in the Warhammer Fantasy universe. The fictional universe was created by a UK company called Games Workshop. The Warhammer Fantasy universe takes much inspiration from other works of fiction, such as Tolkein’s Middle Earth and the works of H.P. Lovecraft.

The Warhammer Fantasy universe also led to the creation of another fictional universe by the name of Warhammer 40,000. The Warhammer 40,000 universe is mainly focused on the science fiction and science fantasy genre.

The first anniversary of Total War: Warhammer 3 is coming on February 17, 2023. This announcement the french voice actor has hinted towards will likely come by then.

The announcement is also expected to be about an upcoming DLC for Total War: Warhammer 3, as it is the final game of the Total War trilogy.

For now, all of it is just speculation. There has been no official announcement from SEGA or the developers.
